My Story
iMatter Retreats were not born out of a business idea.
They were born out of healing.
In 2021, I reached a point where I knew something had to change. I wanted a different life — but more than that, I wanted a different inner life. I made an intentional decision to change my circle: the voices I listened to, the people I associated with, and the spaces that shaped me.
That decision led me to a women’s Facebook group where I learned how to monetise what I already had. At the time, I thought this was the breakthrough. What I did not know was that God was about to begin a much deeper work in me.
Through that group, I connected with a woman who shared my maiden name. It felt like a small coincidence then — but she would later become instrumental in my journey of emotional healing.
From 2022 until now — and still continuing — I have been on a healing journey that has touched every part of my life. It began with understanding the meaning of my name. From there, God gently opened doors I had kept locked for years: healing mother wounds, father wounds, wounds from in-laws, marriage, and even motherhood itself.

One moment remains deeply etched in my heart. My mentor said to me:
“Once healing has happened, you will see what God will do.”
And truly, I have seen.
Within five years, I travelled on two international trips. I acquired three investment properties — something I had struggled to achieve before, even while working hard. Healing did what hustle alone could not.
One of the most sacred moments of my journey was visiting my mother’s grave — 18 years after her passing. I had avoided it because of the pain. That day, I fitted a tombstone and finally acknowledged that I had a mother. It was painful. It was holy. It was healing.
Through my work with women, I began to see a pattern:
So many women are carrying silent wounds while still showing up as wives, mothers, professionals, and leaders. They are strong — but tired. Faithful — but hurting. Capable — but unseen.
That realisation gave birth to iMatter Retreats.
What began as a simple idea — creating space for women to step away from daily demands and breathe — became something far more sacred. iMatter is a space where women are invited to pause, to be seen, and to allow emotional healing to begin.
I conduct these retreats together with my mentor, Pastor Tiisetso Ncube. Together, we hold space for women to meet God, meet themselves, and begin again.
Because healing changes everything.
And every woman deserves to know: she matters.
