As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and joy as I reflect on an incredible year filled with milestones, memories, and meaningful connections. This has been a year of growth, celebration, and stepping into new opportunities — and I’m so grateful to have had you along for the journey. Let me take you through the highlights of this amazing year and share what’s ahead for 2025.
Personal Adventures: Memories to Treasure
This year was marked by unforgettable adventures with my family. In March, I embarked on a two-week road trip with my kids to Zimbabwe. We visited iconic sites like Victoria Falls and the Great Zimbabwe, and I was amazed at the strength I found to drive all the way alone. Our journey took us through Bulawayo, Harare, Gweru, Zvishavane, Mberengwa, and back to Johannesburg. It was a trip filled with laughter, exploration, and cherished memories.
Later in the year, I traveled to Namibia for a prayer conference hosted by The Threshing Floor. It felt so special to return to the country where I earned my Bachelor of Accounting. Walking through my old hostel brought back a flood of memories and a deep sense of gratitude for how far I’ve come.
One of the sweetest moments of the year was taking my youngest daughter and son on their first plane trip to Durban. My little princess was thrilled to explore the cockpit and meet the pilots. It’s moments like these that remind me of the joys of motherhood.
Celebrating Family Milestones
This year, we celebrated 15 wonderful years of marriage. Reaching this milestone with my husband was a true testament to God’s grace and love in our lives. Additionally, my children made my birthday unforgettable. My 8-year-old gifted me a handmade present that I will treasure forever, and my older kids, Jade and Joe, surprised me with a microphone and condenser to enhance the sound quality of my videos. Truly, the scripture that says, “My children will rise up and call me blessed,” came alive for me.
Professional Growth: Empowering Women
This year, I had the privilege of stepping into the role of Lead Trainer with the Women in Digital Business (WIDB) initiative by the ILO. Meeting and working with amazing women from across Africa has been both humbling and inspiring. The connections we’ve built and the impact we’ve had on each other’s lives remind me why I do what I do.
Another highlight was hosting my IntentionalMom workshops and coaching sessions. These spaces allowed me to work closely with mothers who are striving to parent with purpose, heal from their past, and create intentional structures in their homes. Seeing these women transform has been a deeply fulfilling experience.
Growth in Digital Spaces
My YouTube channel, Digital Mompreneur, reached over 4,000 subscribers this year! This milestone affirmed my decision to focus on creating content that empowers women to thrive in the digital world. Thank you for every view, like, comment, and share — your support means the world to me. On Facebook my private group surpassed the 1000 mark.
Community and Celebrations
We closed the year with an unforgettable pajama party! It was a night filled with laughter, prayer, dancing, and very little sleep. Events like these remind me of the importance of sisterhood and the joy of creating spaces for women to connect and grow.
